Nothing to do with MS - we've just never had a request for the 740 to receive a flight plan via NMEA...we've always pushed them to EFIS systems, not needed to receive them that way.

Walter I think you misunderstood me, the question I was asking was, can my 740 be used as the GPS "source" for the Ifly software installed on a window tablet?, basically as an "engine" for the software, as of now I cannot find a USB, or any GPS that work with Windows 10, to even simulate flights, the ticket would be, to "connect" the tablet to the IFly, and if necessary or possible, put the IFly screen to sleep and be able to use the big tablet screen?

I hope I was not too "MUDDY" in my wish

Ciao

GlobalSat BU-353-S4 USB GPS Receiver

This GPS works with my Windows 10 Surface Pro 4. I had to install GPS Complete.

Also, any WIFI ADS-B that is recommended by AP should work. I built and use a Stratux.

By the way, iFly on your computer works best without a GPS to simulate a flight if you're just sitting stationary somewhere.  Center the screen on the location you want to begin your simulation and start the simulation.

I like to use my Surface Pro 4 and iFly when traveling in the car to view Nexrad weather.  That's primarily when I use the attached USB GPS.  I get the weather via WIFI from my cellphone.

Yes, I misunderstood.  This might work...but it's an untested setup.  You would need 2 USB to Serial cables and a null-modem adapter to connect them.
