My iPad Mini 4 is far from obsolete.

If this was all about a tool for brushing up paintings or pictures, like Photoshop for instance, I might want to agree with the resolution issue. But this is a tool that I personally use for flying and getting safely from A to B.
While flying, most of the time I look outside (if not in IMC conditions), the instruments and finally the HSI and the HITS on my iFly Android tablet, the TX sun mostly ruining the view by the way. If I plan and program a flight I do that in vector mode, to avoid all the noise of the "old" maps. So I don't really care about resolution...

P.S. I also come from brand F (if that means Foreflight) and I ditched it because of the emphasis on Europe and stupid stuff like "viewers" for passengers. Moreover the Apple company is starting to annoy me big time, so I sold all my fruits and went back to Windows and Android. Hence iFly...

Interesting problem. I'm running both apps on a Mini 4 and while I can see a diference when I zoom in very closely, am definitely not getting the diferece you are seeing.
