WingX has a "Free for CFIs" program - http://hiltonsoftware.com/cfi/. As I recently (May this year) got my CFI and my iFly renewal is due in a couple of weeks, I thought I'd ask whether iFly is considering, or would consider, looking at a similar program. After all, our students will follow their instructor's lead in many things. For example, my AME just LOVES me to death now! :-) So many new student pilots coming to her for medicals.

So what have I been pushing to my students in regards flight planners up till now? iFly of course. However, havign just discovered today, that WingX is actively support we CFIs that may have to change.

Come one iFly, I WANT to stay with you. Make it eay please!! Thanks.

IFly tried a CFI discount a few years ago. Apparently, it did not result in a significant number of subscription referrals and it was discontinued.

I too would love to get iFly for free ior at a substantial discount. All the other paid EFBs except Garmin Pilot do it. But I can certainly understand the reasons for a company not choosing to not do it.

Ditto.  As a CFI, I've turned a handful or more of students onto iFly.

How was copper wire invented?  Two pilots arguing over a penny. Ifly is already the most cost effective platform out there!

We have a CFI and Military discount, it's just not widely advertised.  Had some abuse in the past, so now we basically do these over the phone.  Just give us a call when it's time to renew.  214-585-0444.
