X-Plane  Modified By Frank Parker on 1/13/2020 3:42:06 PM

There is a rather vague statement in the beta release notes that support is provided for the X-Plane simulator.  If that is the case then we need information on how to couple iFly to the simulator to show flight details. There is nothing in the iFly menu about this.

As a follow on, I would have thoght that there would be a user manual that might have this informaton, but a search for user manual draws a blank.

Hey Frank - all you would need to do in this case is make sure your device running iFly is on the same network as your xp11 rig, then go to settings/network settings and under iPad apps there's a checkbox for "broadcast to all apps on network" - make sure this is checked. From there, start your flight!

Does this mean that it will only work on an iPad and not on a droid?

I have tried four different droids all running the same beta version of iFly.  Of these four, only one was able to display the simulated aircraft position from X-Plane. Two of the four are identical products running the same android version, and it is one of these that works!  This is with x-Plane configured to broadcast to all apps in the network per the recent post. There must be something very subtle involved, but what can it be?
