Just did a flash of the newest Stratux software and now when I start IFly on the 720,  there is a image (takes up about a 1/3 of the screen of an Artifical Horizon in around a 45* bank that beeps like a crazy unless I touch the MUTE button on the bottom of that window.    That window is NOT part of the iFly menu items to select or delete items to show on the screen.

Baffled as I have no idea how to get rid of it.  Logged into 192.168.10.1 to see if there was a setting there, but did not see anything.

My old Stratux software was at least 2 years old, and of course I didn't make a backup of it to go back.  Tried both PC and Mac .img flash - no change.

Any ideas?

If you have the ahrs module this warning means that you need to calibrate it.  When you upgrade the stratux software, it doesn't retain the previous settings so you have to go through the configuration process again. Go to the ip adress you correctly tried already and set the forward position for the stratux.  Then go to the ahrs page and calibrate It there.  You can follow this tutorial - start at the "orientation" section :https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/wiki/All-About-AHRS

Thanks for the info.    Could you verify the link to follow?   Didn't load anything on it. blank page   Using PC and Google Chrome

I did follow your initial instructions and it asked to calibrate which it did

Think I got part of it done but Artificial Horizon still appears on the iFly 720.

Hey Bill -

So there's a couple ways to get this fixed...

If you want to hide the AHRS alerts permanently, go to menu/setup/alerts and warnings/ahrs alerts and then click on both pitch and roll and select "disabled".

Alternatively, you could set up your Stratux wherever you want it in your aircraft, and access it via IP and "reset AHRS". Keep in mind that it has to have a solid GPS lock for AHRS. Hope this helps!

I updated the link to the instructions.  It is a 2 step procedure using the web page from the Stratux.  First you have to set which direction is "forward" for the Stratux by setting the unit on a flat surface with the side of the unit that will be forward in the airplane facing up then press the "Set Forward Direction" button.  Then you install the unit in the airplane and use the calibration button in the settings page.  You will have to do this again once you are flying straight and level because your attitude will be very different than the calibration on the ground.  Here is the link again:  https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/wiki/All-About-AHRS
