This is, for me, the one area where Ifly GPS really needs improvement ... fuel prices at airports.  They are frequently in error.  Just checked one today for Santa Fe, NM, KSAF ... the price for 100LL is listed on Ifly GPS as $3.91SS at Signature but it is actually $5.09 SS.  Garmin Pilot reports fuel pricing very accurately so I know it can be done.  But, since I now only use Ifly GPS, and cancelled my GP subscription, it would be a BIG help if you guys would get your fuel reporting through another source ... pretty please!

AFAIK iFly has used GlobalAir for fuel prices for some time - and unfortunately GlobalAir doesn't do as good a job of having accurate fuel pricing as say - 100ll.com.

I'm pretty sure it's been requested in the past for a method for iFly users to update fuel pricing in real time (which BTW isn't possible with GlobalAir) or to switch to a different fuel price provider, so maybe this will catch Walter's attention - thanks for bringing it up again!

If changing providers would add to the cost of iFly GPS, I would hope AP would make it a fee based add-on rather than increase the price of iFly for everyone.

I think that what we're pointing out is that there may be a more accurate options for fuel pricing than AP currently uses.

Yes it might cost more, however using your reasoning - should AP users have the option to choose to for pay less for inaccurate information?

We use iFly because it has consistently provided us with up to date, easy to comprehend and accurate flight data.  If it cost us a few $$ more, so be it.  I wouldn't quit using iFly over a few dollars here or there.

I'll acknowledge in advance that fuel prices can change at a moment's notice...that said:

If GlobalAir can be shown to be consistently inaccurate, why use them at all?  I'd rather see no fuel pricing than inaccurate pricing.  In my experience GlobalAir's lack of reporting for accurate current fuel pricing and pilot services means that I always need to check other sites to see what they report before heading out on a flight.

FWIW I have no affiliation with any fuel pricing sites.

It would depend on the added cost. A buck or two a year would be OK. Much more than that, people who use the service should pay for the service. People who don't use it, should not pay for it. I have no idea how much these database services cost, so I don't know if it would/could be significant or not. However, I don't want to pay for a service you use but I don't.
