My iFly740 say “glideslope” on just about every approach. I assume it’s because I fly a tight pattern and approach at a steep angle, but can anyone tell me what parameters it is using, and more importantly, how to turn it off?

The warnings are supressed when approaching an airport by default. Double check Menu -> Setup -> Alerts and Warnings -> Terrain Alerts -> Reduce Alerting When Approaching.... and make sure it's set to Any Airport.

JOOC, shouldn't a glideslope warning only sound in close proximity to an airport?  If not, what's the point?

There is no warning for "glideslope" in iFly, so I assumed Chuck meant "sink rate", which is supressed on approach.

It is definitely not “sink rate”. It is ”glideslope”. I’ll ckeck those setting next time I’m at the airport.
