Support Team,

Could you share with us your preference on how (and where) you would prefer to see software bugs reported and perhaps add it to your FAQ?

Some clear direction would be helpful so you can more easily track them and secondly those folks reporting them would know the bug has been captured for triage.

Thanks.

- Si

That's great for fairly simple bug reports, but it's not very conducive to providing more detailed ways of reproducing a complicated issue.
I'd like to see a way to report outside of the app in a structured way and perhaps a way to reference a log upload with it.

I should mention that in my $dayjob I run software teams, so I have perspective on how painful it can be to track down bugs without clear and concise documentation on how to reliably reproduce an issue.

The in-app method (Menu -> About -> Send Bug Report) simply composes an email in your default client with the log file attached to our log email. The body of that message encourages you to describe the issue in detail before hitting send, but a lot of people don't read it before sending and we just get a log with no context. We're changing that mechanic to no longer require a configured default email client, but that is still the preferred method for bug reports.
