Notams

Hello All,

Are NOTAMs available in iFly?

The manual says no - I think - but there are so many hidden features, I thought I'd ask.

Notams will download from the ADSB network and get encorporated into the Aiprot Info pages. But currently Notams are not streamed from the Internet. This is on our todo list.

Thank you.

IMO - Getting NOTAMs by internet is important because most or all viewing of NOTAMS is done during planning on the ground - where ADS-B is unavailable.

No problem. There are several decent sources of NOTAMS but iFly has done such a great job of integrating so much information that this would be a natural.

There is a bit of a workaround for getting some NOTAMS while still on the ground. Make a flight plan with the airport(s) you want to check in it. While on the Flight Plan screen select Online Filing (don't worry, not filing with this step), then Options, then Get Briefing. Full briefing details with associated NOTAMS will be in the list. Click on Close Briefing, then Close Form, the Close to get back to the map.

Hi Tony,

Just tried your suggestion with the flight plan: KLDJ - KMMU - KTEB

Worked very well - the info in the briefing was very comprehensive - but I din't see any NOTAMS for the the stop at KTEB. Are NOTAMS only provided for the Departure and Destination?
