How do i designate the first identifier as the departure airport? And, if successful at that, will the device send the autopilot to the first non-departure identifier.
Otherwise won't the autopilot fly right back to the takeoff airport.

Hi Bruce,

Also, I'm assuming you have the iFly GPS app (rather than a 740 iFly GPS hardware device) and that the Autopilot is the app's Simulation Mode.

Naturally, you want the Simulator to take off from the departure airport and follow the planned route.

Based on the above assumptions, here is what worked for me ...

With the iFly app open, Tap Flight Plan
Tap Clear
Tap Close
Tap Menu
Tap Exit Application
Tap Shutdown Application

Now Restart IFly GPS app
Tap Flight Plan
Tap Clear
Tap Enter Flight Plan
Type In Two Id's: "KSFO KOAK"
Tap Done
Tap More Options
Tap Altitude Planning
If you want, set: VFR, IFR, Mult Altitudes Y/N ... or keep the defaults
Tap Optimize
Tap Close
Now You're Back In the Flight Plan screen
Tap Close
You should now see the map with your Airplane at the Departure Airport, both situated in the middle of the screen.
(If Not, look lower left for Crosshairs button with Green Dot; then Tap it)
Your Airplane Should Be On The Departure Airport In The Middle Of The Screen
Tap Menu
Tap About
Tap Start Simulation Mode
Tap Yes
Now your Airplane should be on the map, lined up with the Magenta Route Line
If EFIS is not showing, Tap Map Mode
Tap 3D EFIS
You should have a view out the window showing the Highway In The Sky (HITS) in front of you
Now Find the Simulator Box on the right. If want you can drag it to where you want it to be.
Increase Speed And Altitude Controls, And Steer With Track Button

Let me know if that works, or if my assumptions were wrong.

Doug, you did better than I. I had no idea what he was asking.

...and we haven't heard back.
