It would be nice to have a quick way to turn off the flight plan route line. When you bring up an approach plate the route line appears on the plate. This can cover up important information on the plate. The work around way is to go back and delete the flight plan.

This has been noted on the feature Wish-List. Thanks for the Feedback.

Another option: If you touch the screen, as if to drag the map, the route line turns into a very thin line, the instruments and buttons disappear, and the airplane becomes transparent. All this is done for the reason you describe: To fully maximize visibility of the underlying map.

Hi Walter - I like your suggestion for seeing the screen cleared of nav items. Just make sure we can still pan the map and drag the course line. - Jim Williams

Actually this is how the app works today, give it a try. Of course you can still pan or zoom while in this state, but we developed this feature to also satisfy what you are pointing out - a quick easy way to de-clutter the map.

To Shane's point, we are considering other features that will address this in different ways...more to come on that later.
