Dear Devs,

If the ifly algorithm finds "no match" then please have the app do an internet search and show the lat long as a point on the map. Like the winds aloft, it would be an internet only feature.

Example input:

Near me > Text Search > "Hermitage TN"

Current Result: "No Match"

Desired Result: 36.1988° N, 86.6198° W(or your desired format) then I click Done and see this point on the map.

Thank you for the request! Turns out this is an easy feature to add, given that "Google Maps" provides us a turnkey query mechanism. You may see this feature implemented for version 10.2 coming early in 2018.

YOU DID IT!!!!!!  And you did it sooo nicely.  It is a bit of a hidden "Easter Egg" in the app though, so I included two examples.  Pardon me if I missed it in the application's help page.

I was searching for an airport code that didn't exist, and of course iFly displayed: " ??? - no match".  THEN a "google" button magically appeared on the right. Using my example scenario above, here is an example of the magic in action:
Works with specific street addresses too!  But to protect the innocent (that's me), I just used City/State.

Examples:
Open the "NRST" button, then continue with the following examples
Example 1.

Example 2.

(Note: when working with specific addresses, there was one address that didn't return a result until I added the City and State Abbreviation.  This is a google thing, not iFly)

Great!  Thanks for posting this! It also works when building a flight plan, not only from the nearest button.

Love it!
