I just re-requested that the MFB creator add in the ability for the software to store the ending Hobbs time for each aircraft separately.  It's important to me, as I have 3 aircraft of my own,and rent a PPC trainer as a CFI.  The last time I requested it, over a year ago, he wasn't very enthused about it.  But I thought I'd give it another try.

Well, it turns out he already implemented it (on the mobile app only right now).  If you long-press on the Starting Hobbs time field it will take the Ending Hobbs time from your last flight for your selected aircraft and put it in there.  (It will replace any number that's in the Starting Hobbs field already.)  You have to have already "downloaded" your recent flights from the database so it has that Ending Hobbs number handy.  All that's required for that is that you view your logbook entries on the app so it syncs your phone up with the database.  But f you do all your entries on the phone, and none on the website, I don't think you even have to do that.

Yay.

He said he couldn't remember if he gave the same functionality on the webiste.  (It appears not.)  Hopefully he'll do that.  (I asked him to.)

Tried Flightbook. Didn't like it much so uninstalled.

IFLT gives me taxi and flight times to enter in my log. Accurate enough.

As far as I can tell it will only give you taxi + flight times. Which makes it impossible to use it for entering in my log. Would be super nice if iFly would give you taxi times and flight times separately.

Going on a trip this weekend and going to give my flightbook another try by tapping "engine start." Hopefully this will be the answer for now.

Actually, it's perfectly acceptable to log taxi time. Whenever you are PIC, you should/can log time. I was told many years ago by an old timer flight instructor that even the preflight inspection could be logged. But that might be stretching it a bit.

I log hobbs time. If the plane doesn't have a hobbs meter, I look at my watch. How easy is that?
