Hello,

I am trying to get my new Raspberry PI Stratux ADSB receiver to work with iFlyGPS on my Android tablet, but so far I’m not having much luck.  FYI the tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8”.

I can connect the tablet to the Stratux WiFi signal just fine.   If I then open Chrome and go to 192.168.10.1, I see the Stratux configuration page.   It shows “connected” and under “traffic” I see a dozen planes in my area, with GPS coordinates listed.  So the Stratux itself is working, and talking to the tablet.

But if I open iFlyGPS, and go to Menu -> Setup -> ADS/B, it always says “Waiting”.  Under “Change Selected Device” neither Auto-Detect nor Stratux/FlightBox seem to work - I get the message “selected device not connected” under the Detailed Form option.

Any thoughts on how to get iFly to connect to the Stratux?  Thanks!

Try Menu - About - Connected Devices - Select Wireless Device - Stratux/Flightbox

Thanks for the quick reply...

Nope, When I try that sequence I just get "Selected device is not connected"

Went looking in other places in the forum.  Found this answer from someone who had a connection, updated and subsequently had a connection problem.  I checked my S2, sure enough, it had power saving mode on.  I turned it off, and Yahoo!  the Stratux connected.

Figured out the issue. My android was in power saving mode. As soon as I disabled this, the stratux connected right up instantly via the apps. I ran into this same problem with Android Auto. something to do with the app power being reduced causes network or usb limitations while in power saving mode.
