Good news!

One of the first SkyBeacons (wingtip version) shipped went to a member of the HUGE Cessna 150 Club of America - probably has 3-5,000 active members...

It was easily installed, worked fine the first time, and it already qualified for the $500 rebate - that is very, very re-assuring!

The Cessna 150 community is very happy, as this is in our price range! The installation is the key part - many of us simply don't have the $5,000 (after all is said and done) to install the competitor's version (starts with a G) as it requires some "plumbing" and antenna installation - the SkyBeacon does not.

Now, for the tail-light version! We are ready to buy!  Congrats to IFly for carrying this product! Thank you for keeping flying affordable for "the regular guy."

Good to hear the successful install.  I was looking at some replyies on the Beach Talk site and a few have been having some issues with the flight tests.  I am still looking at the Tailbeacon for my Grumman Yankee.

There is now talk on the Cessna 150/152 Club of American about organizing for a "group buy" of the SkyBeacon...wing and tail versions.

Still in the inception phase, but these guys are serious as many live under the Mode C veils and have no option and the clock is ticking.....

More to follow...anyone can go see the page (most of it if you are not a member) by going to their home page.  https://cessna150152club.org/

I also saw mention of doing a group buy in the Beech news group.  But I am still waiting on the Tailbeacon, and have my name on the waiting list with iFly for my Grumman.  I will plan on getting one as soon as they are avaiable, based on what I am seeing from the install reports from the Skybeacon.
