There's a few people who have modified their Stratux's to support serial connections, but it's not something we've ever tested. The Stratux code supports RS-232 for other functions, but some pilots have had receiving issues depeding on the chipset in the serial interface, so I can't say with any certainty it'll work. There's a fair amount of disussion on Reddit and Github about this in general, but it's outside of my purview.

The Stratux is a computer. Sometimes things happen that can only be corrected by rebooting. This requires cutting off the power to the Stratux, then reconnecting the power. If the Stratux is within easy reach, you can unplug and replug the power. You could also install a switch on the power cable if that would make it easier.

Although I can't find it on my Win10 desktop, likely because it's not connected to an ADS-B device, I'm certain there's some where to reset the connection.  I've used it in flight.  As I recall it's on the box that appears that has a list of several items iFly is looking for from the ADS-B data stream.  Heartbeat, Towers, Notams, Weather, etc.  There's a button at the bottom of the box to "Reconnect" or something like that.
