Oneniner

I'm wondering where you have the Stratux in the cabin. Wondering if you might have some interference with the wifi. I have found that it has been set to Channel 1. I have changed it to channel 11.

Another question is what version are you running? Have you tried updating to the latest version. I using the latest v1.6r1 from

https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/releases

From the FAQ page.

My Stratux is powered on but I cannot see the Stratux wifi network.

This generally indicates a software problem has occurred that prevents your Stratux from fully booting.

The easy way to correct this is to reload the software by re imaging the SD card. If you are familiar with Linux you can connect to a monitor and see what is causing the problem.

To re image your SD card you will need to download an image file usually it will look like this "stratux-v1.3b3-74909ada85.img.zip". This file is a .img file that has been compressed as a .zip file. You will need to extract the .img file from the .zip file and then you can write it to your SD card with the appropriate software for your computer (Eetcher for windows or pi filler if you are using a MAC.)

I just remembered by looking at the FAQ page that you should be using the Edimax wifi adapter with the newer software updates.

Maybe that is the problem you're having?!?!

What verson of Raspberry Pi is Stratux supported on?

The image files located here are designed for the Raspberry pi 3B. The 2B will also work with an Edimax wifi adapter.

The 3B+ will not work with Stratux out of the box and consumes much more power than the 3B. There is an experimental image that supports the 3B+ and Zero W available here. https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/issues/768

Hi, Pielit.

It was mounted on the side window, unobstructed line of sight 3 feet away.  Experimented with it many days  on the bench where it is within a foot of the computer, my phone, and the iFly.  Over the course of a year or so, I have reimaged three different cards so many times I lost count.  I've used version 1.5 and 1.6 software files, using the latest when a new one comes out.

The Crewdog guys had it for a few days, and could not solve it either.  I assume a new Raspberry Pi board would fix it.  However, for me, that is all in the past now, to stay.  laugh

Anyway, thanks for offering ideas,

Gary
