I know IFLY staff is busy with Real Plan, but I have what shold be an easy wish.

Since IFLY already gives vocal warnings ..TOO LOW...PULL UP...FIVE HUNDRED...TERRAIN, etc, it would be so nice to have it alert us to close traffic vocally as do other applicatons. EX: TRAFFIC FOUR O CLOCK 1 NAUTICAL MILE.

This would be much better than the sound that is currently given out that makes us look at the screen to see where the traffic is. Better to keep eyes outside.

This shold not require a lot of proramming since many vocal alerts are already given.

I have flown with a pilot that has this feature on his nav application and I LIKE it. When we got a vocal alert we both immediately looked in the direction we were warned about. He was surprised IFLY didn't have this safety feature.

+1  Makes sense.

"Please divert your attention outside the window @ One oclock.  You are about to die"

I like the iFly app and all, but its not the last thing I want to see when I get my ticket punched.

btw, if the app is going to talk to me, I would like it to recognize the phrase "Shut up for a minute"...and literally do that.

Larry:

I posted this wish last September with no response from the IFLY staff. I figured they were wrapped up with the Real Plan function. Now that it is finished I would expect some attention be given to this important feature.

I also posted it in the General area hoping to get some attention from IFLY.

We'll  see....
