Split-screen with Instruments and Map View

I've been using the EFIS / Map split screen a bit more in flight and enjoying what I'm seeing. Was also wondering if there is a way to get the Instruments (traditional 6 pack) view in a split-screen mode. 6 pack on top, map on bottom, or 6 pack on left, map on right.

I would like to see, and have requested, an any-any split. That is, make split screen general purpose. Allow any map mode in one half of the screen and any map mode in the other half of the screen.
