Folks, this is what traffic looks like coming right at you on the NEW synthetic vision coming out soon - it is very helpful!  Please excuse the glare - it is the RED TRIANGLE coming right at you in the upper panel - we were going split-screen with the SV on top and standard chart on the bottom.

Hmm...

Also just noticed the icon coming at me is both RED and GREEN to depict the direction/heading of the aircraft - also very useful! Thanks!

All three colors are represented on the traffic targets in synth vision: green on the right side, red on the right side, and if it's going away from you, you see white in the back.

How far away and how far beneath you was that plane - is that info available on your display? Could you visually see it out through the windshield?

Yes, the information IS available.

I was in split-screen so on the bottom screen I would see the blue triangle coming my way.

All's I have to do is tap on it and IFly gives me a reading of heading, speed, altitude, AND relative bearing (from me to it) - essentially everything I need to avoid it. I even have an alert that is set for targets within 2000 feet above or below, and 3 miles lateral distance - superb situational awareness!

All this info takes just a bit of getting used to, but like everything else, more flying and more practice makes for more comfort.

I think everyone will really like this terrific upgrade to SV.

Mike
