Are Ping Buddys  either USB or WiFi still available? I no longer see them on the AP store site. I used to have one  not sure what happened to it, but  remember it worked quite well  for "in"  data.  I believe mine was Wi Fi connected. Anyone know  where that product went?

No joy I'm afraid. They stopped making them for us for whatever reason and we ran out in the middle of last year.

I'm hoping that my Ping Buddy will last "forever" -- I just can't imagine why uAvionix stopped making and providing them for "us"...works flawlessly with my 740b! (which also works flawlessly, I might add!). I did see a couple of Ping Buddys on Ebay a few months back, but haven't seen one anywhere else for sale.  Hopefully there'll be another small, unobtrusive "in" product that works as well for those of us with small, limited space cockpits & that doesn't have to be "stuck" somewhere, and isn't wireless-dependent & battery dependent (...something like, maybe, the Ping Buddy!? wink) Mac

That'll work...very well, in fact...but it's about 100 times bigger/heavier than the Ping Buddy.  I understand that it has to be either battery powered or wired/plugged in for power...plus it's gotta be "stuck up somewhere" & gotta remember to recharge the battery(?).  The more I see my neighbors monkeying around with their Stratux, the more I like my Ping Buddy smiley...super small, unobstusive, almost no "antennas", short cable to/powered by 740 USB & practically out of sight.  Mac
