Just saw this on the AOPA BBS site: Sadly adventurepilot.com is now redirected to iFly GPS. I really liked the usefulness of that site. Are there any new websites out there that show destinations within a range of your home airport?

I'm sure I have  used this site in the past to look for places to fly to for no particular reason.  Is the site still/functionality available somewhere else?

Aren't they one in the same?

The Adventure Pilot site was closed down because it needed a lot of work to keep the stie maintained and bring it up to current HTML specs - there were compatibility and security issues that needed to be addressed.  But there was very little utilization by the pilot community.  So for now, we've shut it down.  We plan on re-introducing this in the future as an app and a feature set in our current app.

Thanks for bringing this up...I for one, really loved that site and contributed nearly 450 locations, sites, and things to see by air...

I thought it was the BEST site out there for the pilot who was looking for a place to go...

Hopefully, the site will come back one day...it is a great concept and is sorely missed.

Thanks for the run we had with it - it was a lot of fun while it lasted.
