Using iFly for audio callouts of critical information during an instrument approach in IMC is dangerous and not appropriate.  iFly is in no way IFR approved and audio callouts would not necessarily be accurate and COULD GET YOU KILLED.

What about the first two? You have not addressed them.

>"Entering runway..."

"x feet remaining"<

I don't think I'd want my GPS to tell me when I'm entering a runway, and I can't see why I'd need the GPS to tell me that.

I similarly don't see the need to have a GPS tell me how many feet are remaining (on the landing runway?).

IFly SHOULD NOT be used for shooting IFR approaches in IMC.

You're still using paper approach charts?

I'm wondering whether there are system reasons which might currently preclude it for iFly. If not, I think there should be some kind of user poll to decide priority. One of my other EFBs has callout for various things. I have them turned off. That doesn't mean others don't or shouldn't want it, just that there are other enhancements which might be more important.

There is also a specific problem with Approach callouts like "minimums." Most of us are flying with our tablets using GPS altitude, not an altimeter setting. "Minimums" becomes potentially dangerous in that situation.

IFly already has callouts for approach altitudes. They are just not aural.
