I've probably been using my IFly GPS regularly on my cell phone for 8 years .  I've never had this problem before.

Basically  The IFly GPS program on my cell phone is stuck in landscape mode but in portrait view. What this means is that I can't even exit the program properly to restart it in landscape mode. I've shut the phone down and restarted. I've tried to exit from I fly but there  is simply no way to do it because I can't access the part of the menu that lets me shut down the program. I have been struggling with this for 2 days and still cannot get it fixed.

Im guessing i may have to uninstall the program and reinstall it but i hate to lose my settings and  flight plans.

Hoping someone has a suggestion.

That sounds like it’s a setting on your phone, not the iFly program. I say that because it happened to me before, but not with iFly. I think there is a lock, or a rotation lock in Settings.

Not sure why it would be "stuck".  Try holding your phone in Landscape mode when you launch the app, see if that let's you get to the proper settings.

Regarding losing your plans, history, settings, etc - you should enable the sync option (Menu -> About -> My Account -> Sync Devices -> Upload).  Do this once and it'll keep those files in sync on our server, and you can download them as needed if you reinstall, or if you move to a new device.
