I have the Amazon fire hd 10 with I fly GPS installed and updated. The only problem I'm having is it won't rotate when you rotate the tablet. I have the tablet set up for it and it works as it should but when using ifly GPS it does not rotate. I found the screen orientation option and made sure it was not locked, so I'm a bit lost any ideas?

AFAIK, iFly does not actively rotate on any platform.  If you want to change the orientation, you need to shut the program down, and start it in the new orientation.  I also think your saved instrument layouts only work for the orientation in which they were created.

iFly GPS will not rotate on the fly.  You have to shut down the app, then reopen after you rotate your device.

FYI, this is the "iFly for Windows" area, so not the correct place to post about Amazon Fire issues.  You should be posting in the "iFly for Android" area. (Edit:  Disregard; Shaun moved the post to the Android forum.)

Another user recently posted about improper iFly (for Android) behavior when the device wsa rotated.  Their experience was different from yours, but Brian replied in that thread and mentioned that there's a bug in how iFly is responding to device rotations on some devices, so I wonder if this might somehow be related.

At any rate, the other thread describes how iFly *should* respond:  It should detect the rotation, pop a question asking if you want iFly to rotate (with a short countdown of about 5 seconds for you to reply), and if you say "Yes", then iFly should shutdown so you can restart it and have it launch in the new orientation.

That other thread is here:  http://www.iflygps.com/Support/Forum/...772/scope/posts

Moved to the Android forum.

Also, everyone's correct that iFly requires you to re-launch the program to re-orient or resize it. That's true on any platform, but it's something we're looking into changing.
