Been working on my friend's LG Gpad issues with his airplane icon just stopping on a flight and when he returns from an airport back to his home airport IFLY shows him already there.

I have the same tablet with the same revisions and don't have the problem.

Then I discovered that his Android phone is paired with the tablet.

Is it possible that this Bluetooth pairing is causing the issues I mentioned with IFLY?

That sounds like the GPS isn't being used, just the other location services. Make sure GPS is enabled in the device settings, and it's not set to Battery Saving (Network Only), and make sure he's running the latest version of iFly. I doubt bluetoothing to the phone would be an issue unless it's running a GPS simulator app.

Everything you mentioned has been done. Not in battery saving mode. Over 12 satellites are showing strong on satellite tracker. navigation works for a period on the trip then stops showing movement and then starts showing movement again.

My question was: Can having Bluetooth (2.4 Ghz)  paired between tablet (using  IFLY) and his cell phone cause interference with IFLY navigation?

Quick question: why would a tablet and a phone be paired together?  What is it that each is getting from the other?  (He's not using the phone as a WiFi hotspot is he?  I imagine you would've mentioned that.)   Anyway, has he tried unpairing?

FWIW: in my setup, I have a tablet paired to my bluetooth headset as a media source, and a phone paired to the headset for call audio.

HOOK:

Don't know why he paired his phone, but we have it turned off now and will try it again when the rains in SoCal let up.

The final test will be his LG GPAD on his RAM mount; my G Pad, which isn't affected, on his seat next to my Samsung TAB A tablet.

We'll see which fails and which continues to work.

Nav satellites transmit on 1575.47 Mhz and 1227.60 Mhz while Bluetooth used 2.4 Ghz so I can't see how the two can conflict.

This next test should provide more information.
