Justin, are you using any other navigation apps on your ipad?

I talked to the Appareo rep at OSH this past week.  HIs explanation was that ForeFlight turns the Open ADSB switch off whenever it connects to the 3i.  They said that I could either use ForeFlight, OR some other application with the 3i, but not both at the same time.  In addition when ForeFlight is through with the 3i, it does not turn the Open ADSB switch back on.  So if someone uses ForeFlight between the last time you used the 3i, and today, you'll have to turn the Open ADSB switch back on. 

Some things I learned or confirmed this week.

The recent firmware update for the Stratus 3i changed the switch on my 3i that causes it to come on with ships power.  Prior to the update, my 3i would automatically start up when I turned on the avionics power, after the firmware update, I had to start it myself. 

There was an App update recently (in May I think) for the Stratus Horizon Pro.  I was not aware of the update until I e-mailed Appareo.  My app never told me a new version was available (It told me the firmware update for the 3i was available but nothing about the new App. version)  The old version of the app had no way to turn the "Auto On" switch on, the new one does.
