See above

Thanks Rich, that saves me $200.00 (what it costs around here, not including flying to the avionics shop and the time sitting with it there).

Appreciate the knowledge.

Well, I am going to try to fly the TAILBEACON tomorrow, 15 Nov 2019 to see if I can get it validated by the FAA.

I live by multiple Class B areas with MODE C veils, so I have to have this to get anywhere, especially to DC to work from time to time.

Let's go fly it - more to follow!

Well, flew it TODAY, 15 Nov 2019....my wingman was also ADSB equipped and was able to see me coming and going to Harrisburg.

I flew for 30 minutes inside the TRSA - should be GOOD TO GO, but we will see....

This might have been the flight that gets me into the "compliant" category of certifield aircraft owners WITH the ADBS OUT.

If this all checks out, I will have be able to acquire ADSB IN + OUT for less than $2,000.

As seen from someone else's ADSB, aka "fish finder" scope - nice to show up like this...our formation is kinda' stacked up here in this depiction - see N714AJ.

Well Folks, here it is DECEMBER and now less than a month to go before the "circles of doom" descend upon the land and the new ADSB rules kick in...lots of places our group flights went to will now be off-limits for the folks who have not yet "equipped" bith the devices...

Going to be rough around here as folks try to "funnel through" the areas between the MODE C veils around the Class B's up here in the NE of the USA...

I am not sure what all the military traffic is doing to do up here as I am sure not all are equipped yet....going to get very interesting in less than a month around here.
