One of the accessories shipped with the GPS is a 4" x 3/8" strip of foam, 3/16" thick, glued on one side.
What is its purpose, and where does it go?

If you are mounting your unit in a location that puts it in contact with something, you can stick this foam on the iFly to act as a buffer.

Hum...we've included that since day 1. It is packaged with the suction mount. It's kind of small...possible you threw it out with the wrapper?
