I noticed this no longer happened a few months ago and have tried to figure out how to fix it....with no success. I also can't get the 720 to boot directly to Navigation (which is okay now since I have to manually connect ADS-B). I can't seem to click the option to boot directly to the Navigation page either (I've tried multiple times).

What's happening, and what do I need to do to resolve this annoying issue?

Thanks,

Chad

As for the wifi issue: if you haven't tried this yet, try deleting the Sky Guard wifi profile and any other profiles you don't need. Reboot the unit, connect to SkyGuard, and then see if it is persistent. As for the boot screen, I have my 740 boot to the selection menu because there was an issue a while back, I think clock related where you wanted to give the GPS a head start so it could grab the time before the iFly software booted up. Don't know if it's still an issue, but that's how I still boot the 740. Not sure why you *can't* boot straight to the app tho; I remember my 720 booting straight to the app. I'll check later and see if the 740 has the same issue.

The system clock is still an issue, but I think the iFly software now corrects it for it's internal use. I usually reboot anyway because the flight log file is dated from the system clock and I keep those on file. It seems the system clock is usually correct if you fly once or twice a week; over a couple of weeks it's wrong. From a flight last Thrusday after being grounded a couple of weeks for a prop reseal:

C177RG: iFly 720, Stratux 978/1090 ADS-B in, AHRS, BMP, Stratus ESG ADS-B out. RV-3: 8" Samsung Tab A, Stratux 978/1090 ADS-B in, AHRS, BMP, Stratus ESG ADS-B out.

Jeff,

Thanks for the info on the wifi, I'll give it a shot the next time I get down to the airport. If I can get resolved, I can probably live with the boot screen to menu.
