Apparently the WiFi  detecting logic  occures  in the  720  initial  start up  sequence.  Walter, I  changed the  start up  menu to allow manual start of the  Nav screen  as you suggested  and still got the  "device not connected ". I also  had removed any "PRE"  devices that  were remaining in the WIFI list.   I tried the  STATUS button  which brings up an option  screen allowing "Reset and Reconnect"   again no joy with that on reconnecting.  About the only  actiion that  i fiind that works is unplug  12 vdc and repower.  Then will always  reconnect fine.   I would be satisfied if I could get the  reset and reconnect button to work . Realizing this is still probably a  warm up and  time race for  the iFly and NAvworx  on start up.  My next  step is to  get the latest in software, I may be one  rev behind but fairly up to date.  Aside from that, any other  recommendations?  I like the iFly tied to the master switch , Its a "excellent"  alarm for not leaving the master on at shutdown.  It's  save my battery many times!!  Thanks for  the excellent customer service on  a great product.

This says to me you should do what I suggested.  Put a switch between the iFly device and the master switch.  Don't turn on the iFly until the ADS-B device has had time to start up and establish the WIFI network.  The solution seems obvious.

Tim I do agree that may be the obvious solution and possibly the one I finally  zero in on.  However, I still  would like to determine if the reset/ reconnect  feature in my 720  has some issues or maybe its purpose is just not what I think it  was designed to do.   Haven't  really heard anyone that said  "Yes my reset / reconnect  button  for WiFi works great".   I do agree the hard wire switch would resolve the apparent issue but not ready to go there yet in this digital world.

Anyone out there wanting to give it a try, I would be interested in hearing from you . ie can you  disconnect from wifi and reconnect  while remaining  in the NAv app. ?

Dennis, sorry for the overdue response.  One more thing you can try: Updating the OS on your 720.  This will reset your wifi settings as well, which sometimes clears up this issue.  Here is a link to the OS Update procedure:  http://www.iflygps.com/OSUpdate

Walter , I did  as you said and removed the NAV  app from the start up menu. Have been initating the NAV manually as requested and  have noticed that the wifi connect is batting about 1000 now.  Believe thats been  at least  a month or more with at least 10  to 12  starts.    Seems to work fine now . I also  removed some of the "PRE"  wifi connections and believe that will also help.  Thanks/ DRR
