Something in the product description .....about using it with the EFB of your choice ....made me wonder if my Understanding ( that it displays traffic right on the iFly sectional) is correct.

Is it?

I'll take a WAG and say that:

1.  They presume that iFly IS your favorite EFB.

And/Or

2.  The device is not specifically made FOR the iFly, but will work with iFly and any other unit that can decode its standard output.

And/Or

3. The iFly company is happy to sell to iFly owners and non owners alike.

I'll see your WAG and raise you a similar WAG.  Since neither the 700 or 520 have WIFI, they can't use a "traditional" ADS-B IN device such as Stratux.  So maybe iFly commissioned Ping to produce this variant that is WIFI-less and communicates only via the USB cable.

I agree, the wording is a little confusing.

EDIT:

To answer your specific question:  YES, it will display traffic on the iFly sectional (or enroute chart, or vector map - whatever you have on the screen).

We will get that wording cleaned up.  This device is a fully functional ADSB receiver, and will show weather and traffic data on any iFly device, 700, 720, 520, 740, or 740b.  It requires being plugged into a USB port with the appropriate USB to Serial drivers loaded, which means it will also work on Windows based tablets running the iFly app.  Theoretically it would work with other windows based EFBs...but we've never tested that.  It will not work on Android or iOS.

I just (obviously very belatedly) went to

https://www.iflygps.com/STORE/Product/ping-ads-b-for-ifly-700-520

and got a page saying "Product is not available."
