I didn't realize that all the files on the SD card were the actual files to run the device. I thought there was internal memory. I have apparently deleted all my files from the SD card and now my device won't work. Any thoughts how to get the files back on the SD card again? And no, I did not make a copy before I deleted them.

I would call iFly support tomorrow and get them to mail you another SD card. It's possible you could download it, but IDK.

If you have iFly Connect, http://www.iflygps.com/UPDATES/Download-iFly-Connect you might be able to just download it from there.  I'm pretty sure you can't just save all the files to your desktop HDD, then copy them back to a new SD card, so there must be some kind of hidden file or something that identifies your SD card as the proper one or something in the download/installation process that puts in files that can't be copied.

But I would imagine that a call Monday morning should get you squared away.

I don't think there's a way to re-download the software without help from iFly cusomer service.  iFly Connect only downloads the data files.

To use the iFly GPS software, there is nothing unique about the SD Card.  You can, in fact, just copy the files from one SD Card to another and it will work.

The iFly Streets navigation app used to have some copy protection that was tied to a physical SD card, so you couldn't duplicate it.  I have never used that software, and don't hear much about it anymore, so I don't know if it even still exists.

Call customer service during business hours and they'll get you set back up:  214-585-0444

We have now worked with Robert outside the Forum, and are fixing the issue.  In the case of this happening, the best solution is to contact support, and we can get you fixed up.
