High-Rise Buildings Appearing on Synthetic Vision?

What are THESE objects on my iFly/Stratux synthetic vision?

Looks like two high-rise buildings on the horizon?

Could be...we do have some buildigns that go up to 4-5 stories high in the middle of town, but this is looking south, away from town.

The buildings showing in the foreground are of the chruch we attend, and it is only two stories....dunno' but this is interesting. No factor in flight, obviously!

Never saw these before...this occurred AFTER I did a recalibration, as I do before most flights.

If you look on the map these should show as towers - touching them and selecting the "nav" tab -> More Info -> Obstruction should give more data on these. They might be antennas that are marked as buildings in the FAA databse.

Very cool! I hadn't noticed any buildings before, so this is great fun. I tried snoopoing around Carlisle for a while, but couldn't find any buildings there at all. Found a bunch of 'em in Richmond, VA, though, near where I live. But here's my favorite--the Washington Monument in DC.

You know, before 9/11, there was a corridore a person could fly N-S right through the DC area - no more and probably never again....
