Question for iFly owners: You know how if you quickly slide your finger across the screen & release, the map continues to scroll for a little ways (this is what I call Toss Scrolling). Do you folks use this feature? Or do you find it irritating? I ask because we are considering getting rid of it, so scrolling is more predictable; as soon as you release your finger the scroll would stop. Just like Google Maps. Thoughts?

Thanks!
Walter

More annoying than useful. It "tosses" a lot more often than I'd like it to. I won't miss it.

5-26-10 Re: Toss scrolling. Get rid of it absoulutly!! Every time I scroll I never know where I'm going to wind up, most times I wind up off my flight trac but where? When I try to scroll back it gets worse and I wind up hitting the "follow plane" button. In turbulant air with the bouncing of my finger its just as likly that my scroll will "toss" due to inadvertent sudden finger movement. I can't see any advantage to it as there is no way to determine just how far a scroll will toss even when sitting at home and I "hurry-up" scroll. dp

As a in flight GPS, the "Toss Scrolling" is sometimes unpredictable especially with even light turbulence. It would be great to have the option for if your groung planning, but if I had to choose for or against. I would say get rid of it. Question, does it free up or speed up performance.
