Just curious about the flight plan import capability....maybe I got distracted and missed it, but thought I'd ask...keep up the great work and cheers!

I like this and may have requested this at one time.  It seems really obvious to me.  iFly has that Flight Plan entry field that lets you enter a string containing Departure, any Navaids, Fixes, Airways, etc. that make up a route, and Destination.  There are numerous tools, including the free kind, that generate that string, even old timey Duats.  And those tools generally allow that result string to copied to clipboard and pasted wherever.  If only that Flight Plan entry field would allow us to paste something there.

Hi,

It would be nice to have the ability to either open a gpx file with ifly and have it auto import into a flight plan , or allow for a flight plan to be imported via a file select box. The current method of dropping it into a directory works, but isn't exactly user friendly.

Of course, a published method of importing flight plans via some type of API call would be even nicer for those planning with skyvector, or the AOPA flight planner.

I don't think this requires any application-specific interface code. It just calls for the simple ability to copy from app X and paste into app Y.  I just accessed aopa flight planner by way of Chrome, free the flight plan from Minneapolis to Devils Tower Wyoming, tapped on Nav Log, and copied this string ...

FCM V412 RWF V26 RAP V86 KARAS

... which only needs the KMSP in front, and the W43 at the end.  If I can paste to this web page in Chrome, then why can't I do that in iFly's flight plan tool?

Totally agree.  If I could use the "paste" function into the iFly flight plan entry screen, it would be a simple operation...but "paste" does not appear to be available in either of my  IOS devices.  Is that an easy "fix"?  Cheers!
