Just installed a BOM from Levil. Wish I could take advantage of the info it is putting out. I'd love to be able to see a turn coordinator and rate of turn indicator.  That would complete the EFIS display and could be a life saver.

I'm not familiar with the term "SMS rate of turn indicator", so maybe I misunderstand you, but iFly does have the ability to show a turn coordinator-style instrument, as well as an artifical horizon.  From the moving map screen, go to Map Mode, and choose "Instruments" at the top.

Currently, these gauge-style instruments are only available on this instrument-dedicated view, I think because they're deemed too large to practically overlay on other map- or chart-based views, and maybe also for processing power limitations in the past.  Being able to put smaller versions of these gauge displays on other views is not a bad idea.  The EFIS view might be well-suited to hosting such an instrument tucked in a corner.

The Turn Coordinator instrument really should be ported from the Instruments view to the EFIS and Map views.  It's very basic info for an instrument pilot, and iFly should be able to provide that sort of data in an emergency, and do so in all iFly views.  Imagine doing a holding pattern with iFly showing you track on the Map view, but you can't see that because you had to switch over to the Instruments-only view.  40% of the space it takes up includes the wasted space at the top so that a physical instrument could fit into a standard round hole in a physical panel, and another 20% at the bottom for the slip/skid glass.  For iFly puposes, it only needs the bottom 60%, and if there is no slip/skid data to display then we only need to show the middle 40%, like pictured.  I would also say that even the smallest instance on a map would be able to show if the "wing" line and the "Std rate" line are lined-up to confirm a standard rate turn.  We're not trying to count minor marks between the major ones.

My apologies. Stupid autocorrect put "SMS" instead of "and". Fixed in original post now.

So I see the rate of turn but no "ball" or "slip/skid" indicator on the instruments page. Does that enable itself when fed that data?
