Thanks Hook, that is nice to know!

This is fun to have -- and I am (now) just a VFR in VMC pilot (mostly day).  

It adds to my situational awareness...and I am only in adsb for around $175 so far with STRATUX, battery and some minor upgrades. Not a bad investment for synthetic vision with weather and real-time traffic!

OK Logan,

Note it also shows the mountain range to the north that is entirely obscured by cloud and fog...around here we have both VMC and localized MOUNTAIN OBSCURATION at the same time - the SV is ideal for this type of condition.

As long as you don't use it for that purpose except for long distance (> 3 miles).
